You will find his recognizable signature etched in black on the reverse of this cameo, which pictures the classic figure of a young woman. Masterful carving has given her incredibly ornate detail and dimension. The detail on her face and hair is absolutely mesmerizing, as well as the realistic pleats in her toga and floral ornaments. The caved shell is set inside an elegant 14 karat yellow-gold bezel and surrounded by a narrow "twisted rope" accent. This is finally surrounded by a thin frame of smooth, lustrous gold. A classic roll-over safety clasp as well on the reverse as well as a hinged bale near the top give the buyer a great many options for wearing and displaying the piece. A truly stunning example of the classic Italian cameo. The piece has ''14Kt ITALY ☆331  NA''  stamped on the back and it has been examined for purity and is 14K gold.
