    Description

    This is a GUARANTEED WORKING
    red (633 nm)
    URDC self-contained HeNe laser system
with a RANDOMLY POLARIZED beam and measured output power of more than 1.2 mW after warmup.  Very good cosmetic condition with minor signs of previous use and behaves like new.
Internally it has a high quality Melles Griot laser tube and discrete power supply.   The normally narrow HeNe beam is expanded to is 3 to 4 mm with low divergence.
The tube and power supply are similar to what would be found in a ,200 laser if purchased new.
This is basically a "turn-key system".  No key :) but no assembly is required other than plugging it into an AC outlet.  However, it is probably only compatible with US (115 VAC) power.  If you are overseas with 220-240 VAC power and are seriously interested, a true iron step-down transformer will be required to power it.
Here's your chance to own a real gas laser (not a laser pointer!) that can be used for all sorts of laser and optics experiments.  The beam from a HeNe laser is of much higher quality than a diode laser - TEM00 with a near perfect Gaussian profile.  Due to the expanded beam, the divergence is much lower than the typical narrow beam HeNe or laser pointer.  The beam expander may be adjusted (with some care) to optimize the parallelism, or change to expand or focus to a point.  Or can be removed.
One use for the expanded beam is to measure the RoCs of laser mirrors.
    Thanks for looking,
