A lot of 4 buttons, original Waterbury Button Company Buttons, for the American Legion, 15/16 inch across, Brass and Enamel, made in the United States, Patented December 6, 1919.
All 4 buttons state * PAT * DEC. 6, 1919 * W.B.CO * on the reverse.
The buttons have been used and have not been cleaned.  The faces are in very good vintage condition, the reverses have dings and dents, two of which put the metal shank out of line.  The shanks are still secure.
The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans' organization and evolved from a group of war-wear WWI vets into one of the most influential non-profit organizations in the United States.

Buttons comes in a zip 2 mil. plastic bag and are shipped in an envelope with a cardboard insert or in a padded mailer depending upon the buttons.  The zip bag is great for storing the buttons!
