Description
Based on your requests, we are now combining our best selling, IMPROVED metering valve along with 5 1/2 feet of our fabric reinforced media feed hose and a pair of stainless steel hose clamps. If you are getting rid of the poorly designed siphon tube arrangement that came with your Harbor Freight (and similar) blast cabinet, and replacing it with our much more efficient metering valve, you will probably want a longer media hose than came with the original cabinet. Now you can have the great suction feed valve and not have to scrounge all over town to find the right hose and pay too much for it.Learn how to "dial it in" here:

A great upgrade for your Harbor Freight 40 lb blast cabinet, as well as many other brands (that are all made by the same company anyway). Complete and ready to install. You need to drill one hole in your media removal cover that came with your blast cabinet. Extremely heavy duty and
BETTER
than the cast aluminum version (which costs more !):
1) Greatly improved air inlet (bleed) valve is full

and made from chrome plated brass and with a convenient knob that is much easier to regulate. You can adjust the valve in 2 seconds with just your fingers and without any tools or the need to seat a jam nut to hold the valve setting. Allows easy 'eye balling' of the valve setting as you change media type and PSI of the air delivered to the gun;
2) Comes with metal media drain plug at the bottom instead of a cheap plastic plug which suffers from stripped threads after a few removals and reinstalls due to the abrasive media getting into the threads;
3) Greater metering valve chamber volume, especially in the area where the air enters the mixing chamber from air bleed valve, creates much greater turbulence that increases the mixing of the air and the blast media to give a steady delivery of the suspended media to the gun (see picture #5 for schematic comparison).
4) Correct style and length media hose with 2 stainless steel hose clamps
5) Virtually indestructible;
6) Costs less !!
7) Much cooler steampunk look !!
I tried the cast aluminum, conical shaped kind. Then I built this one and was very pleased with its improved performance. I think that you will too!
