Description
Offered for your consideration is an antique clear glass tobacco jar or cigar humidor. The only decorationon this piece is a rope pattern under lid on top rim of jar.

mbossed on the bottom is “District of N.C., Factory No. 64.”, Indicating that it was made in Factory No. 64, District of North Carolina, most likely in the early 1900s. This jar/humidor was made to hold pipe tobacco or cigars and was a display item in my grandfather’s store, which was established in 1904.
Condition:
This jar is in very good antique condition, with no cracks or large chips. There are some flea bites and small chips on the inside rim (please see rim photos #6, 7, 8 & 9). These defects are not visible when the lid is on the jar.
This is a pressed glass piece (made in a mold), so as with most pressed glass there are mold lines, imperfections, small bubbles etc. There is also some scratching on the bottom due to many years of use.

The jar is 7 inches tall with the lid and measures 5 inches in diameter.
